Experience: 

Sharon was admitted as a Solicitor in March 2015, after the successful completion of her Training Contract with the Firm.Sharon specialises in Employment Law, General Litigation, Immigration Law, Criminal Law and Family Law. She has particular specialist experience in Immigration Law having worked at a niche Immigration Law Firm in Birmingham City Centre prior to joining us.

In addition to her language skills, Sharon has an LLM in International Human Rights. During this course she was able to study Critical Perspectives on Rights, Globalisations, International Criminal Justice & Social Transition, Public International Law, Human Rights’ Standards in the USA, Amicus Briefs and Advanced Legal Research Methods. This complimented her LLB (Hons) degree with American Legal Studies where she was able to successfully complete an Internship working closely with a Criminal Defence Attorney in New York. During her internship in New York, Sharon was able to attend a US Federal Court with her supervising Attorney in a high profile Terrorism case as well as assist with legal research pertaining to Bite Mark Evidence in a murder trial.

Whilst working with the Firm, Sharon has had experience in cases involving Discrimination where she was able to secure compensation of over £50,000.00 for a City worker against an International bank.

Sharon has had experience in attending the Employment Tribunal in group claims and has had experience with clients who have faced Disability Discrimination as well as disputes relating to Employment Status. She has had experience in general Civil Litigation while attending Court in Possession Proceedings as well as having proficient experience in Tier 4 Student Visa Applications, Indefinite Leave to Remain Applications, Initial Asylum Applications, Fresh Claims, Asylum Appeals and Naturalisation Applications.

Interests: 
In Sharon’s pastime, she enjoys going to the gym and travelling to different countries as well as booking flights and vacations as a Certified Travel Consultant.

Skills/Language: 
Having grown up living in different countries, Sharon is well travelled with excellent language and communication skills. She speaks English, French, Swahili and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
